Does anyone else find the cheap vinyl seat gets a bit sweaty when you're riding in denim (draggin's, not levi's).... Never had the problem before as I've always had leather seats or covers. What's the answer?

It's probably the extra layer of Kevlar (or its equivalent) material in the arse area of the Draggins that's giving extra warmth.
I don't think it's the seat!
I'm surprised you felt the heat! I've just returned from a 400 odd mile trip and I couldn't feel my arse far less the sweat or heat!
Can't help your heat problem though mate, it's not a problem we have up here in the Highlands, although there's been a large yellow object in the skies here this weekend making things very hot to touch?
Well we can rule out "Scottish Bum" being a Jock in a hot climate. I do get pretty sweaty wearing Draggins, it is 30+ here most of the time mind you, can't really compare with anything else as I always have a pair of Draggin's on

I've got a sheepskin cover on the seat, it helps but probably useless in the monsoon season
Ha ha! Smelly ewes and beads all over the road! The mental pictures are amazing!
I have a sheepskin, I think it would give better breathing to your backside! Ventilation and softness should be the ideal comfort,,,,, well, not mine! I tried it first on the Tiger and have now fitted it to my Varadero, I suppose it may be slightly more comfy, but I still want off at 100 miles!
I've not tried the beads, sounds sore to me? Hard wooden balls stuck into my cheeks has never really appeared to me!![]()
Yep and it's not a pretty picture either
I have no idea how anybody can sit on those things even in cars
I still have the standard seat on my 03, I find I slide forward and it's slippy after going through the wash, most of the other guys have had theirs re-covered with a more sculpted and textured arrangement.
By comparison I did 200 miles on my 1050 Tiger in a nonstop morning in the borders, covering everything from gravel tracks to m-way and found the seat superb, don't think a pillion would have felt the same though.
DW (Dave)
There is a fine line between numerator and denominator.
Merda taurorum animas conturbit.
"Let's ride motorcycles!"
Ha ha! DW, you're a hoot! I'm not sure it's a class thing regarding wooden things and someone's backside! But you might be right!
Freerangestormer, I agree totally with you mate, the Tiger was far comfier for the rider, pillion I'm not sure.
The Varadero seat is a strange thing, or is it the hard suspension? I'm going to reduce damping next trip to see if it reduces the shock through my backside!
I'll let you know how I get on folks.
