Should I buy this bike?

Currently got a 125 Vara.

Been offered a Honda CBR 600 FS (n reg) £1,500. I like it but is there anything I need to be wary of?

It has very likely been thrashed to within an inch of its life.
It will put a strain on your licence.

what sort of price was they quoting ?

780 per year fully comp. I checked out a fazer with the same company and it was 260 per year!

I have moved on from this bike now and am close to securing a deal for a Honda CB500. Boring, but a step up and I hope will help me to develop my riding skills in a safe manner
