Where have you been all my life

    Hi Everybody,

Finally got around to fitting my, Hein Gerike heated handlebar Grips last night, very easy apart from trying to hide the massive amount of wires, which Imop should be longer from the controller so they can be moved further away from the steering,
wired direct to battery so must remember to turn them off !!

They have 4 heat settings 20% 60% 80% 100% each shown by a dif colour led.... when you 1st turn them on the blue light comes on for 20%, when the Engine is not running you cannot turn them up past this v clever. Also they have a clever device if you have had the engine running and forget to turn them off, they do turn themselves off, but the guy in the shop said dont reliy on this !!!

But the important bit do they work, Omg toasty warm this morning, why have i not parted with my money sooner. 100% you get equal heat through both grips, i had to turn them down. 80% and 60 %, the left grip is slightly cooler, but not enough to worry about it really...

Big thumbs up for heated grips piccs to follow tonight

What he meant was don't rely on it keeping them switched on when the engine is running and your lights are on. Sometimes there is enough of a voltage dip to cause grips like this to turn off when you're waiting at traffic lights. Mine turned themselves off a couple of times on my AT but bumping up the tickover slightly helped.

Very nice quality grip though - if only they had a manual controller like their old ones used to.
