If its not been lowered then its easy. I can get mine onto the center stand just by standing on the stand but then i am a fat barstuard

    Re: New Vara

I've heard that from a few peeps with the Honda made stand
The SW Motech must be gnats knacker longer cos 'kin 'ell it's heavy, full body weight stood on the lever and still straining to lift. with any weight loaded it's impossible.
One day I will cut and weld the stand so its an inch shorter
    .
The Honda seems more expensive but it's probably worth the extra just to avoid the hernia

    Re: New Vara

I've got an SW Motech stand and it's not difficult to use when I can grip the Givi pannier bars. With the panniers on and loaded, I've got to use the sidestand. Which is fine for most purposes anyway, but a centre stand is so handy for fiddling with the chain/removing rear wheel.

Mines standard and i'm 5" 8, grabbing the rear handle and lifting the bike with a full fuel tank can take a bit of effort. Now though a grab hold of the rear pannier ral and use that to lift as it's lower gives a better centre of gravity for me and makes it a bit easier, you'll get used to it

    Dont you mean 'more airinheada'?

I must admit I was put off the Vara cuz of the weight vs my height issue. Reckon that even with a lowered seat it doesnt really suit me. More of a balance at slow speed and filtering issue really. Just me I think.

My old TA7 was a bugger to get on the stand - new model of same bike still with OEM part is WAY easier to lift.

    Re: New Vara

Sorry if this is obvious, but I've found momentum helps. Don't lift it part way then heave; the bike comes to a halt and you lose the momentum. Give it a good strong pull from the start so it goes up in one movement.

Now I'm sure there are some unintentional innuendos there but I can't quite identify them.
