    Varadero does Paris to dacre

Just browsing the Internet and found this....... Honda Varadero 2008 - To Dacre and Back - Motorcycle
2001 Transalp XLV650. Faithful old friend still chugging away nearly 100,00miles
2007 Varadero XLV1000. Now you're torquing but sadly gone to another forum member. One of the best bikes - period.

I was looking at my worn out trail attack tonight and thinking about Galloway forest. Anyone tried TKC80s on a Vara? How long do they last?

    Look at This
    He has TKC80's fitted.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Robster's your man Austin. He did the Stella with them on his Vara.

    Looked fantastic.

There's also a newer member from OZ who runs them and rates them high,

It seems the vara is getting good reports from Canada and is being used as a dual sports machine where as here and UK it was slated from the start and always compared to the JCB GSs'

Great to see it being used and abused, (still not going to abuse mine though)

I can vouch for how sticky they are! I met Robster in Val Desere and headed over the Col D'iseran and Col de Monte Cenice and the pace was blistering! I kept up with him on a 955i Tiger but I know three other bikes were behind us and certainly not keeping up with the mighty Varadero on knobblies! TKC's seem to grip well on the tar and give that extra grip in the slidy stuff. I've not fitted them but if I start prepping the Vara for offroad I would certainly consider them my 1st choice.

I did the stella with TKCs on ( the wee alp ).. the guys were very supprised as how far I could get the wee alp over on the runs up the passes .. they do square off quick though.. good on the loose stuff too

K60s seem to be getting good press at the moment... but TKCs look the part ...

Suddenly remembered STanbloke said he had put TKC80 on my Vara when he owned it and had taken it up some tracks in wales.....
    ADV ride, Wales.

Looks well hard. I reckon I am going to get some, but prices look to be close to £200 a pair fitted.
