    These are interesting figures for reserve as mine usually comes on around 185miles for my average riding locally, i tend to cruise around 85-90mph 2up normally on motorways , but since having my 32k service and riding with my mate who has a zx10 it seems to be coming on around 175miles. Going away in a fortnight so will check it then for distance on straight runs

    6 speed 07 Varadero: 18mph(ish) per 1,000rpm (ish) in 6th
    70mph = just under 4,000rpm
    80mph = just over 4,500rpm
    90mph = 5,000rpm
    100mph = 5,555 rpm

    I don't know about the 5 speeder's but by all accounts they are about the same. To be honest the engine is so nice and torquey its a bit academic really. Anything above 3,000 rpm and it is away quicker than virtually any bike i know.
