What happens if you ride in rain? Does much water get forced between the screen and fairing?

I have about a 4cm gap and have closed the holes over on my MRA Vario screen,
Its been tested in some of the worse rain this season and there is nothing severe coming through.

    Re: Cheap screen fix

I went for a belt on my own Saturday and it works ''BUT'' when I took my wife down to Brighton for breakie the turbulance was still there but reduced ,purely because I had omited somthing .
So now I'm gonna up the bottom spacer to 12mm and useing neoprene foam (kindly donated from work) channel the air up to increase the air going behind the screen and stopping part of it squirting out the side and wasteing it.
    I'll see what happens .

    I love a good problem

Ok it works on the low screen but has wind rush about 3 inches on the top of the crash hat .
2 more things to try, raise the screen and try it out and (thinking) very small wind buffer inside to deflect air from behind the screen so it do'es not rush up inside but gets defused behind .
If this works I will refine it ,i'm thinking one peice ally scoop plate with side walls which attaches under the screen useing same holes with spacers and a small airfoil underneath the light to direct the air under the screen ,which means the spacer can be reduced in size for the same amount of air.
I am a powder sprayer so would matt black look ok or semi matt, mind you silver would look nice,or gold, ho hum decisions decisions

Anyone tried this yet cos It works fine on mine ?
Channeling the air up is the key to it.

it can only be matt black, there again my bike is black anyway. another colour bike might be set off nice by a shiny or gritblasted alloy look.

some pics of this airofoil deflector thingy would be handy paul?
