Slight liquid seepage from coolant, any ideas for help.

This has been going on for a year and I have ignored it as it was so slight. Now it seems to be getting slightly worse. Take the bike for a run it all works fine and no overheating. Park it up and when you come back some liquid has seeped out of somewhere... I can't see where but have an idea. I guess this could have happened to someone before so I am asking for any pointers... Pictures below..

I guess I was wrong, anyway filled up the LC reservoir last night and left it running for about fifteen minutes, cannot see where the Liquid is coming from as it did not leak. My guess is somewhere around the thermostat

My vara leaked twice in 20,000 miles. Not very much each time. The first time I noticed the residue and I wasn't even convinced it had come from my bike and the second time was about 5000 miles later and was after I sold it but the day before I delivered it to the dealer to pick up my new bike. Both times it must have just been a few drops as the level didn't change in the reservoir but a little antifreeze goes a long way.

The second time I did see it drip and it was coming from up under the tank. It sealed itself and I wasn't going to take to bits as I was getting rid of the bike next day.

Rode to work today through heavy traffic no leak. I wonder if it started leaking more as the LC level was low. In any case the temp gauge never got anywhere near half way even with a 50 mile commute to work, that is before or after I put some LC into it...

Found leak, jubilee clip into the thermostat, or at least I think that is what it is going into as it is so dificult to see.

Anyway definate tank off job, it will have to wait, or I will hve to pay someone to do it. As I don't have access to the necessary equipment.
BUT if I do, to take the tank of the vara? two bolts, two allen screws, turn of taps, disconnect and remove? Apart from finding the wire that lights up the reserve...
Plus, will any old jubilee clip do the trick, I guess so.

I ask the above stupid questtions as it might save time later, I don't really need to pay someone to do the job, if I can get the equipment. Plus if I try and tell someone which jubilee clip needs changing it could get difficult, an takemore time than doiing it meself..

BTW thanks for all the help and suggestions...

    Easy job.

The only bit you missed when removing tank is catch tap on fairing which turns it on and pours petrol over floor.

    We have all done it.
