Side stand big foot

Hi, I have found a chap on ebay selling some home made side stand big foots, for the varadero they look quite good

Just ordered one to day & at £17 inc postage seems a steal,

I'm pretty sure the stand's the same on all Vara's? I know my 51 plate was identical to my 09 one?

If not,,,, well,,,,,, I;ll be wrong then!

Just out of curiosity why do we want them? i've never though about them or wanted one before

Must admit, I haven't one on my Varadero, usually carry a puck in my pocket or tankbag. I have/had/have one on my Tiger though, just thought I'd give it a try, save carrying/picking up pucks?
Reason for the have/had/have? Big foot hits the deck on the Tiger in severe circumstances, one being a sharp left bend in a dip last Friday, tore the big foot clean off the stand as it ground out! On the return trip through Glenshee on Sunday i found the said big foot and it's now refitted!
They are handy for parking offroad, especially some soft campsites. Not a must have but has its uses. I'm not planning one for the Varadero but I'll keep the Tiger one,,,, if it doesn't come off again! LOL!

the vara is a big fat bird (as you know as you have one) and there are times when the ground is marginally softer than i trust. on these occasions i may not have brought a full size side stand support, and the bigger foot would give me a little more stability. During the summer Tarman can get a little soft aswell (not for me obviously, i live up north) and the bigger feet would be helpful for then too... i know DC had issue with his AT outside on his drive as the tarmac was crappy and softened up very easily.

I have one on each of the Alps - it makes parking them anywhere worry free & no grubbing around for pucks.
Made out of 3mm alloy & a 70 - 90mm hole saw (or use a jigsaw) & m6 coach bolt
