What's it worth?
Greetings,
Having had my AT for 5 years I'm toying with the idea of downsizing. I only use the bike for my 10 mile commute in/out London and really fancy something a bit more nimble and agile.
That begs the question as to what my AT is worth and I would welcome the opinions of the great and good on XRV.org.uk
It's a 2002 RD07 with a mere 19K miles on the clock. I spend lots more time riding it than I do looking after it so it's not in showroom condition but then it's not particularly tatty either ;o)
Good bits ...
o SW-Motech crash bars.
o Fuel pump replaced with the usual 3rd party model (can't remember the name).
o Standard footrest replaced with the wide metal variety.
o Rear wheel rebuilt by Hagon.
o Choke cable replaced in operate freely.
o Full service history.
o Datatool alarm.
Bad bits ...
o Crash bars tested during a low speed spill on diesel. They did their job in protecting the bike except one of the end-bars getting slightly scuffed. The bars themselves held up well but are scuffed on the LHS and slightly out of kilter. I'm pretty sure they would straighten but just haven't got round to it.
o Crack in the front fairing under the headlight where a school kid took it upon themselves to test my stopping skills by running out in front of me. I didn't go down but they bounced off the front of the bike and hence the resulting crack. Again, it could possibly be repaired with a kit but I've got used to the duct tape in place at the moment.
Any opinions on what I would get in a private sale would be most welcome.
Thanks in anticipation,
Tony
