chap from the local club is contemplating changing his machine, he is not a member of this forum, but asked me to look at it:

he's owned it last 3 years, mature owner,toured the Picos last year
pretty tidy

25000 miles
centre stand
heated grips
braided hoses
good trailwings
tax 08
mot Aug 25
3 keys for bike

givi wing rack -
2 x 33 + 1 x 45 cases so approx even width for filtering
2 keys for each box

all mots and bills

toolkit, small handbook

oil & filter change recently - hi flo filter.

I took the drive cover off, output shaft is fine, no play and splines in good shape, copperslipped and locktighted bolts back on,

it is an after market sprocket set, no rubber but good condition,

chokes working fine

frame good - odd chip to touch up, casings no marks or corrosion,

couldn't see any dents - one slight scratch on tank, not at all bad

rims not bad at all from the outside - surface anodising marks gone a bit but not any concern.

took it for a test ride, engine sounds smooth and quiet on tick over, pulls smooth, probably goes as good or faster than my 2000 16K

I would say all in all quite a good machine, with some TLC touching up and fettling would be just fine.

took a few phone photos, not too good as the light was going.

Judging by how its gone recently I dont think he would have much trouble getting 3500 for it maybe more.
