1993 XL600V Transalp (Whats it Worth?)

OK it may be madness or just tiredness but possibly considering parting with my TA in the summer with all the goodies still attached when prices are better for something lighter and more road based .
    The list of parts are:

    New Chain & Sprockets
    Newish Battery
    Newish Motad Crash bars
Recent Hagon F/R suspension (Mono-shock & Progressive fork springs)
    Arrow Dakar exhaust
    K&N Filter
Front wheel rebuild 3 years ago
    Rethal Dakar bars & raisers
    High touring screen
    African Twin Gear lever
    Braded brake hose F/R
    Metzler Tourance F/R
    Givi Lugage rack

    Posibly with Givi Lugage: 1x E45 2x E36

    Milage: 53K

No idea how much it’s worth or even what bike to get next if I do sell. I love the upright riding position with the wide and raised bars but spend 99% of the time on tarmac comuteing through Southampton so could do with a lighter more road based bike or Supermoto.

Photo's taken before the chain & Sprockets fitted and when she was clean a few months back.

Forgot to say the bad bits:

Was a Cat C a couple of years ago after getting knocked off before I rebuild it with the extras.

Also the drive shaft may need replacing eventually due to the retainer gap being a bit bigger than it should be but the problem has been fixed for the moment.

Blimy i thought it would be worth more than that

If the value is under £1K would it be worth selling bits separatly?

    Hi ,
What you doing man , after all the love and care you`ve cherished on the bike not to mention the good times . Yeh I know they are heavy, well compared to a 125cc thingy but lighter than a BMW panzer but like all things once moving the weight dissapers. I find mine great for the commute and love the Traffic slicing especially knowing it taken me 20 mins to there 1 hr.

Those alps are buulet proof and very reliable so what next? maybe a Honda CB600 or a Kawasaki Versy.

Ref the price I`d watch flea bay and the local Autotrader to see what people get, you`ve got a good bike with plenty of nice trinkets But would have thought Spring the time to get a high Price especially when the April sun arrives and all those Summer bikers wake up

best of luck, still time for one more blast on the Spring meet at May bank holiday in Blandford/shaftesbury area.

Don’t panic. I'm not sell it at present

Just getting an idea of the bikes value with all the trinkets I have added over the years. By the sounds of it and looking around I couldn’t afford to buy another bike with the little amount I would get selling the TA.
Even battered 125 have higher value

I think the fear of having to replace that drive shaft in the relatively near future is going to put off a number of potential buyers, that coupled with it's CAT C history is gonna make it a sub £1000 bike for sure, when compared to some of the examples available

Honda Transalp XL600V SOLD SOLD SOLD, DO NOT BID on eBay (end time 27-Mar-10 13:29:02 GMT)

HONDA XL TRANSALP XL600 V-P Any

    HONDA XL Transalp XL600 V-M 600cc

    Just my opinion

Thats what i was worried about

O well looks like i'll be sticking with the old TA in that case since at least i know what faults it has. And any other sub £1K bike i get could be a lot worse condition.

Good work on the front sprocket I would put it higher than 650 and with those extras I rekon you could easily get 950 for it

Are those Givi PL131 side rails in the photos? Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm trying to work out which Givi rails will fit on my '92 TA.

    Cheers,
    Robert
