Finally tired of my tripmaster which had a 3/4" crack, & a sun-glazed screen, so I replaced the whole unit. I did the 10k ohm resistor modification in january & had no problems whatsoever, showing the trip mode number 4 in KMH. (will be doing the same to new one... eventually) rather than fleabay, would prefer that it went to someone on the forum who had faulty internals or no trip at all. All digits light-up correctly and the back light works... though i borrowed the bulb for my new one(will replace-50p local dealer) would keep as spare but a resonable offer...
