    whats a fair price

I have a 1998 600 Transalp in black, 29K miles, braided ss brake pipes, Laser exhaust, Alloy rims and ss spokes, givi luggage and rack.

One did 500 miles last year, stored in a garage under a dust sheet, battery charged as and when engine turned over and given a short ride every couple of weeks. Very good condition all round, tyres have done about 3k miles. Just got new MoT today, passed no advisories.

I was going to give this to my daughter once she passed her test, however, not very motivated to pass, therefore, I'm going to sell 'the goat'.

What would you consider a fair price, to sell.

Thumbs up Re: whats a fair price

    Hi Geoff.

Shame your planning on setting the "goat" free - loverly little bike (looks incredibly "little" with you perched on it ).
If I could I'd have the machine off you in a shot - have been wondering what you'd done with it, as a pal has been muttering about follwing me around the local forests on one, & I thought about your machine for him.

Not re-subscribed, but would be interested to communicate with you about this machine. My email (without the spaces)

    Re: whats a fair price

I've been looking at loads of TA's recently. For the age and mileage they seem to be selling around £1500 to £1700 really depending on condition and history. Add a chunk for the luggage (or sell separately and you should get more) and there's your ballpark.

Here are a few I was considering:
2000 50th Anniversary 26k miles, Motad desert bars - Dealer sold at £1595
    1998 Black 18000 miles (import though) - Dealer £1495
1998 Black 18000 miles standard clean - ebay auction £1501

Shame you weren't selling a couple of weeks ago
XL650VY - TKC80's, Mivv Suono "silencer", Arrow Headers, PAIR system removed, 125 mains, Renthal 677 bars, MRA Vario Screen, Scottoiler, Honda Main Stand, Daytona Heated Grips, Sparkbright Charge Monitor
