    uneven tyre change

Hey guys, I had to change my tyre the weekend before last. Anyway I noticed today...that it has not gone on evenly... on part about 8 inches is much "deeper" about a 1cm or so in the rim then the rest.. i have not had this happen before.. i tryed to re-rim it.. twice and it seems to end up the same way.. Funny thing is that i cant even feel it.. any suggestions before I take it to a tyre place?

Take it half off (one side only) and this time when you put the first bit of bead on, get your knee right on it like you mean it so the tyre goes right inside the well of the wheel and you have more room the other side when the last bit plops on.

Hi Xander, have you tried overinflating the tyre to seat the bead, may need 50psi or more, use plenty of lube.

Seen this before, If I cannot get it to seat with loads of pressure, 60psi.. drop it down to almost nothing and toss the wheel up into the air so that it lands on the tyre and repeat this a few times, rotating the wheel each time. Had to do it on Friday when fitting a new rear. Seems fine now

Happened to me just, too. Answer - loads of lube and 70 psi. Used WD40 at first but then with loads of tyre soap (at local bikeshop, and their airline) it popped on OK. Cost me £6 though!

Depends on what the rubber is being used for....

well of course it is for lubing the rubber so it can be pushed in to the tight rim.and bouncing up and down on while increasing the pressure until things cum right.....

okay my fault for bring the tone down.. So tonight i will try the lube and bounce thing.. with various amount of pressure..
