    Tyre swap tip

I swapped the front Tourance yesterday and gee was it tight to get off for starters. I do not like using fairy liquid on the tyres as I reckon it used to corrode the spoke ends and also damage the tyre years ago, maybe it did, maybe not...

Anyway, I came to slip the replacement on and a ray of light lit upon a bit of OKO (same as Slime) left in a bottle. A spot of that mixed with a drop of water smeared onto the tyre and Voila, the perfect tyre lube, it even made seating the tyre onto the rim a doddle.

if it was tight to start with it was almost certainly that the opposite bead wasn't fully into the wheel....but I am sure you knew that.

My perfect lube is a bit of swarfega mixed abou 50/50 with water. Just paint it on the bead. You also end up with easy clean hands as well.

I don't use fairly liquid either - use talcum powder!
