    Tyre Choice?

Hey there, having a bit of trouble picking an off-road rear tyre :S
Running a Diztanzia set atm which don't cut it in the mucky stuff at all!
Cos it's a dodgy size 120/90-17 all I can find are expensive TKCs and Metzelers, just wondering if anyone knows of any cheaper options?
I quite like the look of the swedish army issue T-644s haha, but I wouldn't call them cheap either really.
    Any ideas?

    Pirelli MT21 . . . . . . not cheap though.

I've just got a cheap front nobbly tyre off ebay (100/90-19) for my SLR650, and was wondering if there is one made by a decent make that I could use? I'm a bit nervous as it looks like it's going to be crap on road, and it's speed limited to 83 mph (not that i go over that ). Cheers in advance.

For the 17" rim I've always liked the Michelin T63, but not cheap.
Works really well with a rimlock at 10-14 psi.

19" fronts are hard - best bets seem to be MT21s or TKCs. The TKCs will be better on the road, but the MT21 better off it, and still OK on.

Cheers mate, looks like the only do rears in that size though Looks like the chinese plastic is the only nobbly for me! What would happen if I did put a rear tyre on my front just out of curiosity?
