Hi all,
seeing the post about the XRV tyre poll reminded me - I need to get some new tyres for the Ural (which is nearly ready) - which means I need something for 3.50 wide on 18 inch rims - not a very common size.
Just wondered if anyone had any ideas or suggestions? I've got a pair Dunlop K82s on there at the moment, which seem ok, but not great.
This is mainly going to be a winter bike used on crappy roads, if that is any help. I see that Mitas seem to do some in the right size - this one seems like it might work ok:
moto-tyres.co.uk - Details: Mitas E 03 3.50 -18 RF TT 62R
Anyone had any experience with Mitas tyres in general, or this one in particular?
That same site has a few in the right size:
moto-tyres.co.uk - Search Results: 3.50 -18
...but a lot of them say things like "for small to medium bikes" and so on, and although the ural isn't powerful it isn't small or lightweight, either
finally, speaking of that site, anyone here ordered from moto-tyres.co.uk ?
the prices seem ok, but I haven't heard of them before.
Cheers all,
r.
