No protection for the wheel rims?

it dosnt touch the rim anymore than a proper bead breaker does and dosnt mark the rim at all ,
if you're going to scratch the rim its removing or refitting the tyres when it might get scratched not on the bead break

    oh my gawd!
not worried about the tire? would have to be one very blunt, rounded shovel and I would have to be at last resort city in the middle of no choice county in dire straights without a boot heel to use,a side stand or anything but a shovel to use.
Only takes one little nick to weaken the side wall unnoticed to reap some pretty dire results later.

thats a very good point but i only take tyres off to replace them !!!
so does it really matter if the tyres damaged?????????
although it isnt in this case

point taken, as long as it is for taking off knackered tyres not being refitted, does the job I suppose.

Might have saved himself a bit of back ache if the shovel didn't have half a cube of concrete sticking to it

The concrete is a necessary part of the kit it adds the extra weight needed to be applied to the bead.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
