XL600 LM wheel conversion to XL600R

With a huge effort from juniorxr400, I got a set of LM Dakar wheels to install on my XL600R. Has anyone done this conversion before?
Now, the rear wheel was an easy swap.
But the front is a little more challenging. I knew the brake caliper was different, and I thought I had that covered. But nothing about the brake is compatible with my stock fork leg.
The only pic I have of this conversion shows a different brake rotor. All the LM rotors I've seen are solid. But this one with the vented rotor seems to use the stock caliper and fork leg.



Any advice or suggestion would be appreciated.

Now that is a clean bike!!! Where do you keep it in bed with you?
Not sure about your tyre choice......
what happens when you use the solid disc? Are you using a LM caliper of R? Are the forks standard R items?

Mine's a white beast that looks, well....humble compared to this one.
I think this one sold on ebay UK a few months ago. I just stole the photo!
