    Xl250s CDI

Anyone got a spare cdi box they'd part with?
I've got a friends quad bike in the garden. They took the front sprocket cover off, one of the bolts also holds the main engine earth for the starter, and hit the start button. Engines turns over by managing to get an earth through the much smaller running through the loom, getting hotter and then melting lots of wires together.
I've sorted the loom and got it started using the cdi off my old xl250s. I can tell the timings not perfect but it's running better than it did when it entered here and trying to get genuine stuff for the bloody things is a nightmare. (Zongchen or something like that).
No joy from Ebay, so anyone?

    Cheers, David.

    Re: Xl250s CDI

Been thinking about this since posting.
The old Xls had a mechanical advance on the crank and I'd bet this thing hasn't. So although it runs on my xl cdi, It would prob ride rubish.

Bugga. Gonna have to be a gen part from somewhere.
