    bike identification

    Hi all im trying to buy a few parts for my bike but ive found theres more than 1 version,,how do i identify exactly which bike i have?

    Its an 1991 xlr250 baja MD22 but there are mk 1 and mks 2 any one know when these bikes changed??

    The Frame number should give the clearest identification.
    YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    www.davidsilverspares.co.uk is also in Suffolk and has been excellent in supplying parts for my Hondas.

    Hi jon david silver is ok but only has a small amount of parts, but i use fowlers of Bristol..i have recently ordered swing arm bushes and chain rubber, for a 82 xl185s and they have the parts which dave silver dont have, but they work off your VIN number.. and theyre great, recommend arther on mail order.. heres the link http://www.fowlers.co.uk/

    Excellent thanks for the help and advice..got some parts from wemoto they seem pretty good too and had what i needed .

    Will keep note of all these suppliers..think i may need them!
