    Newbie with xl 125

    Hello all
newbie here with a question on a 1982 xl 125
Does anyone know what the valve clearences meant to be, I did the measurement to what the haynes manual says and after that it would not start has it had no compression.
The haynes manual said to do them to 0.05 mm what I thought was too tight in the first place but I did it to that measurement.
So if anyone knows what the measurement is meant to be that would be great.

    thanks
    Glenn

That does sound too tight, I would suspect that they would be closer to 0.10 +/-.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I think 0.05 sounds right, though it was 25 years ago. the hot check is a lot different i think.
