1977 makes it an XL125s which is becoming collectable. do you have the V5? if not apply for a replacement (makes a sale easier).

take the carb off and give the jets a good clean, put fresh fuel in (super unleaded), a new spark plug and see if it will run. its obviously worth more as a runner

Values without seeing the bike are difficult. i would think upward's of £500.

Ebay will let it find its own value.

Documents no problem, go to post office and ask for a V62, fill in the details, send a cheque for £25.00 and new log book appears, let me know if you come up with a price please, looking for a project to work on with my son, (got to get him of that bl**dy scooter some how) that would be perfect if not too expensive.

    Re: whats it worth

If your XL125S has a genuine mileage of 11000, and is in a good original condition with all parts there, then let Ebay be the judge and get ready to take £500+ as buyers get carried away. However, if it has suffered corrosion during storage, the cost of restoration could easily exceed the value of the bike when it is finished, and so you may be limiting bids to buyers from the 'rose tinted glasses' section of the world. However, there are many of us out there............

Don't forget that the XL125S needs a battery (6V) for the engine to run.

Or just get someone else in the family to register it as a new keeper and get a new log book without having to pay the £25.00

    Re: whats it worth

There's only one problem doing it that way

1# Another keeper gets added to the previous keepers

If it's never been in your name to begin with then watch out as DVLA in all it's wisdom might try give you hassle as to why?? Especially with the continuous registration laws these days
