    Micron jetting on an xl125rc

Hi everyone, Just thought i'd introduce myself to the forum with a question. I have an 83 xl125rc. I bought it about a week ago and to be honest everyday has bought a new niggle. It is running with a micron pipe and standard air filter. I did change the k and n type filter it was bought with. has anyone got a micron nicely setup. If so what jetting are you running. Also what are your thoughts on the micron v standard exhaust??

    Neil

got a micron on both my xl185 special and mr xr200r neither have had the jetting altered at all, the xl special does not even have an airfilter, but goes very well.
the jetting for the later xl125's is the same as the 185 anyway, carb, jets ect.

Problem with bikes this old is you don't know what previous owners have played with jetting and carburation wise. You need to get to a honda dealer with engine and chasis number. The will then give you the standard jet sizes that should be in the carb and the needle height and float height. Once you get it back to sdtandard put a new plug in it give it a good run then look at the plug and see what it's telling you
