Head Light for XL600 LM

Hi all,

I am new to this website so forgive my stupidity. I have what I believe is a XL600 LM which is an import and apparently a 93 model. It has a LHD light which I would like to change for a RHD. Someone has offered me one which is from a XL600 LMF and also has a rectangle light rather than the twin round.

Does anyone know if this is a straight swap into my XL (assuming it is but thought i would ask!)?

You will need the Headlight shroud for the rectangle light and the lower and 2 side brackets, also you will need to modify the loom to fit the single H4 bulb
I have a shroud(a bit scruffy) and the brackets if you fancy a swap for your twin headlight set up

I have worded my message pretty badly i think - My XL600 LM has a rectangle light at present but it is for europe so have to have the tape on it to be legal in UK. I have the option of buying another rectangle light from a UK LMF and was wondering whether it would be a straight swap or not?

Yes will be a straight swap but you may find the adjusting screw is in a different location so will not line up with the hole in the cowling but it nothing to worry about just drill a new hole to line it up
