Lot of movement top and bottom, can they be repair easily with new bearings/pins or whatever? I have an engineer to make parts if needed, but anyone done it before? Are spares bearings/pins available?
Thanks for any advice, or does anyone have a known good crank spare?

They say I talk too much.
When that happened to mine I bought a new piston (it was about time to replace that anyway) and conrod from ProX and had the crankshaft rebuilt with those (and new bearingd of course). Also, the cylinder was honed to fit the new piston.
Result... good as new.

is it for the electric start model?
Have you measured the play in the big end? 0.8mm lateral, 0.05mm radial play are the limits.
Is the con rod included?

£50 you can have whole engine apart from cam and rocker arms but as you rightly pointed out it is a chance as ive no idea to the condition inside the engine

Good price, I'm still undecided as to what to do. I'm going to make a few calls to see if I can just get a price on the top and bottom end bearings. I know it means making some funky tools to get it all apart but at of swearing but I don't have the cash to go out and buy a piston and conrod kit.
I've not even ridden the bike and its my first big bike after passing my test, not sure if I want to increase its performance!
