What a bummer......!

If its just a pinhole,you can garantee that the surrounding material is ready to perforate.
Was the metal scabby around the hole on the outside or the inside?.
Soldering with gas and brazing rods,not plumbing solder or carefully,mig.
Any pics?

Can see slight corrosion when looking inside the tank, ( 5mm above the side seem 75mm from the rear of tank where it is narrow width inside ) but nothing on the outside apart from shiny metal with a miniture pin hole...!

I bought the bike...petrol in tank... then started to renovate her.!
loads of time spent on the petrol tank.... wet + dry the high build primer coat last nite, swilled her off.. final coated it today ( looks magic )
only to find a drip of water coming from the inside which probely got there after swilling last nite, breaking through just above the edge weld.
Now What?
Can they be welded or brazed??? or does anyone know about tank linners out there ?

A product known as - POR15, seems to be the way forward with this one. Any one had good or bad experiences with it? I recon its all to do with thorough preparation for these type of products to work.
