    A*rse! They're always expensive, well overpriced. I'd save a search on ebay with 'CDI' in the 'Honda' section;

    Like;

    cdi, Motorcycle Parts, Trials Motocross Bike Parts, Scooter Parts items at low prices on eBay.co.uk

    Then look for 'XR or 'XLR'

    I'd check your Honda part number, if you have one as that will be useful.

    There's an XLR250 one there for £50, does it look the same as yours?

    Item number:270513578723.

    Dont forget to check over the connections first on yours as it may just be a wire that has corroded.

    Good luck!

    That's wierd as I would assume there all the same but have different advances for different engines; I'm suprised the wiring is different.

    Mine is sortid twas the spark plug! Fitted a new one and all is well.

    I'll have a look around at the CDi thing next week. If you can download more manuals, check the wiring diagrams as I'm very suprised yours is different and wouldn't be suprised if it's bust.

    Re: XLR 250 Degree

    Good luck on that one.

    My plug change sorted my 'Problem' but it seems to be back and still 'feels' electrical. Rode to work (5 miles) no problem today but cutout probably 5 times on the way home last night. Most annoying but at least its 'leecy start so a quick prod of the button and it's back to life. I've wiggled all the wires associated with the CDi and ignition with no joy but just cuts out randomly so may be a faulty CDi too. I'll post here if and when I find the fault.
