    Hi
i am a new member and also new to trail riding. i have been reading with interest about using a VW part instead of a standard baffle, does this also work with the xr250 ? also does anyone know of any good trails in the swansea area.

Firstly, Ive just taken out baffle and what a difference ....... She no longer gasps and feels strangled..great smooth power.....BUT it is noist..too noisy for trial riding where sometimes 2 "discrete passage" is needed....

So Ive bought a bung which is identical to once from XR stuff for just £15 offa the fleabay...lovely machined Alu bung! This really is a perfect balanceof noise Vs power!

Hi i made a baffle from the specs on www.force9.co.uk as mentioned earlier it is really cheap and easy to do and you can tailor the sound to your tastes. I also found that this baffle as well as the removal of the snorkel aided starting and got rid of any flat spots

cheers Max, I'm not here to sell stuff, tho i'm more than happy to help out, I started making parts for my XR4 in tea breaks and weekends at work, then that all got out of hand and I jacked my job and got a unit and small very very old cnc mill and manual lathe, I was run over buy customer demand on the supermoto parts so stopped making the XR bits for a while, but NOW I WANT MY XR REBUILT so there will be lots of new parts coming thro, infact just about everything that is machined on the bike will be redeveloped, I get alot of flack off the sm guys for this, they think I should be doing race bike parts for them, BUT ITS MY FRICKIN BIKE AND I LOVE IT

i've pm'd admin about me being on the forum and if thats ok with them, as soon as I hear back i'll let you know and the fun will begin

    Phil.
