    New XR250 owner!

    Hi guys,

I have just bought a 1991 Honda Xr250r! and I have to say its blooming fantastic! Well the reason I bought it is an odd one, well a unique one anyway. In the 80's you had shows like Knight Rider, Airwolf, The Highwayman etc, ie Supervehicle shows. There was another show of that type but its vehicle was based on an XR! It was called Streethawk and in my mind it is the best of that genre.
After a lot of thought I have decided to make a replica, from scratch. I just got the donor Xr and now I am drawing the bike out life size on SHEETS OF A2 paper!(Absolutely massive!) I have to hand craft the bodywork, by myself. Its going to be tough but I can do it! I actually have a few parts from one of the original bikes used on the show!
    Here is Streethawk:

    Here is my XR:

I have many other bikes(mostly italian) like Ducatis, Moto morinis, bianchis and soon enough there will be a big ugly fiberglassed XR! OH DEAR!!!

You can make one of them yourself using a vacuum former.
A DIY vacuum former isnt that hard to make and once its put together you will be amazed at whatyou can create with plastic, PM me for info if you want.
