Stiff clutch

Hi, does anyone have any ideas on how to make the clutch on my 03 xr250 easier as it is very stiff, would changing to a different type of lever improve it, the one i have on at the moment gives me blisters, is this something i just have to put up with?

Hmmmm mine isn't tight at all.
The obvious thought here would the cable, old or possibly misrouted?
Can you get some oil down it so its well lubed.
Do you know if you've got stiffer clutch springs fitted as that would make it stiffer obviously.

I don't think it is the cable as it is fairly new, i have seen levers which let you position the cable in three different positions would these work?
