XR250S Spares / Parts
I seem to have something of a problem!
I have a Honda XR250S ( I have been told by Honda UK that it is an S and that it’s year of manufacture was 1995, imported into UK from Japan) I am in Spain and can not get parts for this motorbike. I need the following: - After Market Products if possible – For instance the Air filters originally from Honda, are metal case with, paper filter, what I really need is a foam filter, as there is so much dust in Spain, that I need to wash the filter out after every ride! If any of you can help I would much appreciate it – I found you website searching the internet! Thanks for your help Roger 2 x Front Sprockets 2 x Foam Air Filters 1 x Metal Case for Air Filter 2 x Clutch Levers 2 x Front Brake Levers 1 x Foot Brake Pedal 2 x Gear Levers 4 x Oil Filters 1 x Manual |

Re: XR250S Spares / Parts
Hi
just found this forum recently - looked interesting so I signed up.... anyway, I have an XR250S - (yeah, jap import with 6 gears, elec start, softer exhaust etc etc) and it is the second one I have owned, after the first one gave years and 1000's miles of such great service - including plenty of welsh and yorkshire rallies. Brilliant bike - does all it needs to. As for the question of getting bits for it, I ALWAYS get my spares from Mark at Terry Rudd TRM Racing www.trmracing.co.uk . They are a honda dealership based somewhere in lincolnshire, specialising in off road models. Because I have ordered so many bits and pieces over the years from them Mark actually got the honda microfiche for the 250 'S' model rather than faxing honda in Japan for part numbers.... Mark has also said that TRM do send spares out to the off-road tour outfit 'red-tread' in spain - so they are used to sending bits out of the UK. (it was a question I asked him before we set off on a tour around the spanish pyranees last summer - just in case........luckily both my XR250S and XR4 performed admirably) he suggested if no fixed address whilst out in spain, then talk to a friendly hotel who would be happy to act as postal address....... but I guess in your case if you are based in spain, then an address would be no problem. Anyway - hope this helps you and any other XR250S owners. I know there are a few of us out there. ps - if you haven't found out already though, you can do a straight swap on that stifling paper air filter, for a bog standard metal cage type with a foam filter cover - the cages from XR4 and CRM are the same and both fit straight on. |

Re: XR250S Spares / Parts
Hi Phil.... and all
reckon CMSL would be fine for lots of XR stuff - it's just that although very very similar in loads of ways, the XR250 'S' model is a bit of a dark horse and lots of bits you think are bound to be the same as on the 'R' models turn out not to fit - in many ways the S is more similar to the XLR or Baja models. Hence TRM Racing now have the parts microfiche for the specific 250S...... |

Re: XR250S Spares / Parts
Give Mark at TRM a call - 01406422430 they are a honda dealer, but they DO have the microfiche for the XR250S and will be able to get the part number..... or even the bit from honda (they are a honda dealer so can be pricey). you might be struggling to get the actual microfiche yerself........good luck
