Thinking of buying XR400

Hi Folks!

First post in this section,as per title,I was looking at a XR400 advertised here in the for sale/wanted section,it's a 98 model.is there any quirks /issues I should be looking for on this year/model,
any hints /tips what to look out for?

what about the 600/650r,are there any essential extras that I would need to by when buying an XR ?


Is there any reputable dealers that specialise in this type of bike you could recommend,we don't have a huge selection to choose from here in Ireland

Is there much involved to make the bike road leagel/? indacators,headlight? we dont have MOT over here so there not checked!but is the standard headlight ok as is,also is it as simple as chaning to road tyres for on road use,

400 is a good bike 650 is a beast ive had both depends on what you want to use it for?
650,s make good supermotos, not as heavy as you would think when off road either.
400 is a good bike go for ever sort of bike but i found the suspension a bit soft for me.
but again depends on what you have planned
