My xr400 needs winkers, some advice please

Hi Simon1234,

I'm in the same boat as you, I've got the indicators and relay, but don't know which wires go where, can you post an idiots guide for me.

I've managesto get the indicator to come on and also the indicator warning light on the dash, but it ain't winking.

Should have listened more at school...

You may find that you need higher wattage bulbs or your relay is u/s.

Thanks for the fast reply, i've checked the relay in my car and all seems OK, I'll cross check the bulbs in the morning.

The 3 pin block is where the relay fits. dont buy a new one from honda they are nearly 40 quid. the one of the 650 fits fine and there are a few on ebay. failing that go to a halfords superstore with a bike section and you can get a non geniune one for about 9 quid. the rest is simple as detailed above. Make sure you have the front and back conected before you try them or they wont flash.
