    If you damage the thread you can usaully clean it up with a file, as long as there is some thread sticking through the nut, it should be ok.
    I would get new bearings and seals on order.
    Obviously clean up the shaft with emery cloth before refitting.
    I always use copper slip on the wheel spindle.
    A brass drift and a BIG hammer are your best friends
    Sounds like good advice, always keep a tube of copper slip handy, This one obviously has not seen grease of any sort in its relatively short life I suppose thats the price you pay for a Honda buily in Spain.

    AT BLOODY LAST, finally got the damn wheel off!!!! thanks for all the advice it all came in handy, I cant quite believe the amount of corrosion on the spindle (never seen any grease in its life) I was on the verge of chucking the bike in my mates van for the local bike shop when........ a couple of extra lump hammer thrashes ond out it came 3 chuffin days later
