Just be aware that there are 3 different kickstart levers for the XR400 range and at least the first 2 are not interchangeable.

hi,
i finally got hold of one and as you say it wasnt the right size spline, and the bolt that secures the top to the bottom was on the other side and the ball bearing etc, after a small bit of "machining" i got it to fit!

if anyone has the right one im intrested still!
