XR125 instrument panel

Hey guys, the light on my instrument panel has failed (least im guessing it has, I bought the bike second hand, it does have one right?)

assuming there is one fitted how would I gain access to it for repair? its not covered in the manual... also newbie question but whats the theory behind the "position light" i'm very new to biking, and kinda clueless really....

Normally you take the front headlightcover off, you can then see the back of the dashboard and the the bulbs are in the rubber sealed holders just grab bith the cables and they pull out with the bulb in it.
