yer checked fuse 20a will double check wires then start looking around for solenoid any body know of any bike brakers in the teesside area

took battery of mates bike still the same , tapped the starter motor with spanner at the same time as i pressed the start button and bike started ok can the starter motor be taken off and cleaned etc or do i need to speed some money...

If you've checked all the connections it could be worth checking the brushes on the starter motor as you said it started after giving the motor (not the solenoid) a tap.

going spend most of friday checking connections and check the bushes should be able to find new ones that fit

Hi all checked conntions all seems ok , it fires up fire time every time now will put the starter motor /bushes on a job to do list some time after xmas thank for help and advice great bunch of guys
