    Gear lever

    Hi all got a pair of new boots for xmas went for a run out yesterday it was a bit crickey changing gear , tried to move lever round on the spine but no joy not eough room dose any know if a lever will fit of differnt bike ie xr250/500 etc... my bike is a xr125l 04 reg

    My boy has sold his 125 now so cant look. One option is see if there is anyone close by who has a TA or similer and wip it off and give it a go, Touratech sell a longer one which aids big feet and motocross boots

    Joe 90 so this is room to get your foot underneath is it?
    I'd be surprised if you can't move it round enough as the splines go all the way round.
    Difficult to visualise your problem.

    Hi cant move lever any more it hits the engine case and when i have my boots on its hard to move my ankle , if the lever was a bit longer with a bit more of a bend in it it might work...?

    Do you know someone who can weld? What I have done in the past on a CRM 250, is to remove the gearlever, saw it in half about half way along it's length and weld a piece of metal about and inch long or however much you think you need, to increase its length to allow your boot to fit underneath. Then refit in the best position for you to be able to change gear sitting (and standing if you ride off road).
