I think the part you are missing is part of the cable rather than the carb. http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-xr600r-87...ist/F++03.html

Bottom end of either 1 or 3 depending which is the pull cable. It's just a bit of hollow threaded bar (the end of the cable sheath)with two nuts usually.

Like my clutch cable pictured here, same thing for your throttle cable.

    Re: XR600R 87 Mystery part

    Thanks for your Help Guys,
From what I can see, Its not the screw part thats broken.
Its the shaped metal peice bolted onto the Carb that holds the Threaded bit that is broken...... or am I wrong ???

Yen, I see what you are saying that its parts of the threaded throttle adjustment thats missing ? it just seem that the angle of the cable after it leaves that threaded bit is all wrong and some sort of cable guide is missing ??

    Re: XR600R 87 Mystery part

It looks to me like it's not the right cable, there should be a nut either side of the bracket which I think is fine. The threaded part of the cable should slip inside the bracket then there should be a nut either side. Yours has the threaded bit all on one side.

You are missing the pull cable completely I can see the empty bracket for it.

    Nothing missing, . . . it's the wrong cable.
