    XR400 Throttle Grip/Tube

I bought a 2003 XR. It seems sound enough but needs tidying.

I have noticed the throttle grip/tube is quite short. I looks like wrap around bars may have been fitted and the tube cut down to make them fit.

When I bought the bike I did not think too much of it. But having done a Hare and Hound event on the weekend it does feel too short and I find myselt having to grip very tightly.

Is it easy to fit a new thottle tube? Alternatively I could try some new grips. Any advice greatly appreciated.

fitting a new throttle tube is a 10 or 15 minute job.
