XR650L preparation for world overland travel

Getting close to finishing my website, preparation of my Honda XR650L for the (hopefully) world trip that I'm currently doing.

Feel free to criticise or say whatever you think.

I hope it can be of use to someone..

Cheers,
Gabe

Re: XR650L preparation for world overland travel

Hi Gabe,

Excellent to hear news that it's all coming together nicely - hopefully you won't have any pregnant sow issues on your way this time!

Have you heard of FireEagle? It's a free service that can keep a track of your location via various means - I have used it in the past to send GPS co-ords / city names via SMS to automagically update a map of where I am, can be useful for a website....

Good luck with your adventure!

Regards,
Martin the pig-chasing KTM rider.

KTM Martin, thanks for the encouragement.
Sorry, but I'm lost with the pregnant sow reference, I am slow and everso slightly hung over. Excuses excuses

Just signed up with fire eagle, but will have to have a proper look at it sometime. Easy to integrate this into a website, and to create a path of where I've been?

The adventure is about to hot up a bit I think, about to enter Russia, by ferry from Turkey.

Cheers,
Gabe

Good luck

Gionati popped up on the forum about 6 months ago, he was in Asia then, he is now in South America. what amazed me with Gionato he started with €2000 no bike and no knowledge.
Have a look at his site he has done really well just on temp working and donations and has quite a lot of help from corporate firms.
