Need help with exhaust on an XR6.

Is this any good?

unless your bike is pre 87 then no as the frame fixings will be totally different.
that exhaust is even older than mine.

looking at his front pipes i would take a guess that the engine he has was put in a 1988 frame and the original front pipes were used as they will fit bikes right up to a 97.

he will need to get hole of the two into one front pipe then he can put what ever muffler he wants on it I'm afraid.. except the one shown on ebay as that looks like the fixing points are totally different.

pps: pre 87 xrs tend to have red frames as well.

Thanks Daz, bidding on the ebay muffler. My frame no. and engine no. equate to a 1990.

did you say that you are bidding on that muffler that daz put up for you, i don't know if you miss read my post but that muffler was for the older xr500 1987 and before,
the 1988 had the twin pipes up until 1990 (your bike) then after that they went to the two into one front pipe, so i don't think the muffler on ebay will fit your bike.
