Re: fuel container

Half size steel jerry cans are good (10 litres). I've seen them in Halfords and Machine Mart amongst other places. You can just see mine (standing upright in this pic on the rear rack), I sometimes had it laid on it's side if I knew I wouldn't be filling it at petrol stations. Upright it could be filled without removing it first at the same time as my bike's tank.

I had a piece of dexion bolted to my rack to act as a something for the can to butt up agains when it was strapped on.

2000 XRV750 (NO 3), I think I'm getting the hang of them now, must fit the centrestand before the back tyre wears out. Damn, the driveshaft bearing wore out first!

Re: fuel container

I recently got a 2Ltr palstic bottle from GetGeared. Should be enough to get you out of trouble (25 miles?) without weighing too much. Comes with a cool built-in pouring spout that's handy for filling the stove too. You do need a funnel for filling it though.....

I don't have a pic, however there is one for sale on Fleabay. Don't know how to link it, but put in Honda motorcycle parts - XR- Acerbis, and there will be a picture.

I've got one for sale for a fraction of the price, but at the mo it is in a very bad shade of Army paint job.
I have been meaning to strip the paint for ages, if any interest I will try to post pics.
