    whining XR125L

hey fellas, done some green laning on my little xr a couple of weeks ago,
got stuck half way up a steep hill (rocky/muddy) on attempting to get going again the bike lost drive for a second or 2,i was revvin the nuts off it trying to get traction,it sounded similar to using the starter motor when the engine is running....eventually got up with a little push lol.

no problems with the bike there after until i was on the road going home later and noticed a whining noise, seemed to be coming from the front area.

i thought it might be the front wheel bearing, although it seemed ok as they are cheap i replaced, but the noise is still there.

now i am thinking its gearbox area, took my front sprocket off and the shaft seems ok moving freely.

but the noise is there with clutch in,or in neutral going down hill!
hoping 1 of you fellas can point me in the right direction

sorry if its long winded, but wanted you to know what i know

i had my disk gard rubbing on the disk slightly that caused a whining sound.

first thing i checked was for a small child, saying that mine are teenagers when will they stop.....lol

if i could wheelie it might rule out the front wheel if it stops
it does seem to change pitch when cornering, this what makes me believe its the front.....

cheers guys i will investigate further
