Oil is a funny thing where motorcyclists are involved, riders get used to there own brand or type of oil. But as you know, I have been using Castrol GTX 10w40 in all of my own and riders air cooled engines for over 20 years, the only thing I would say is change the oil regular, my own bike is now coming up to it's third time around the clock and still going strong on this oil.

For what its worth, I've used GTX in my bikes all have gone very well on it - not seen or felt any problems. The XRV runs nice and now my new XR400 steed is full of the very same - we'll see how that goes.
Think the order of the day is frequency of changes (filters as well (always buy originals) and a good shake and roll to empty every last drop of old oil out before refilling).
