I do not know if it works for the XR's but the @'s and TA's can have the linkage reversed to change the sag.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Any luck with your shock? Try k tech for a beefier spring or if you want it set up right try Dr. Shox! I've used him before and he's excellent!!

I'AM 6'1 AND GOT A xr650r adjust the shock by winding down the 2 locking rings done mine and far better ride you can also increase the stiffness by the little valve on the side of the piggy back unit.
Chain length ? and Rear suspension set up

Yes J, but did you check your sag after? I'm not talking about your bag either!! ha ha. You can certainly crank everything up alright to get the bike to ride high but you're best going for the correct spring rates for your weight!

I raced enduro myself for years and i'm ok setting my suspension up but i have sent them away for revalves and springs and i have to say if you're competing then that's the way to go!
