bike insurance for xr 400

still new to this fourm and did a search as well just sold my sports bike and looking for a green lane bike

the bike insurance quotes from carolenash and bennts are comming out at about £300 and all i want to do is be legal on the lanes and few roads the bike will spend more time in the mud than on the roads any ones got any advice btw live in SE england if that makes any diffence I thought it would have been about the £100 as some people on old thread was quoting less then £75 many thanks ollie

if any of you lot come acorss a 400 that need a good home then can you let me know

Bit of a con on insurance at the moment i feel with some firms. I have a joint bike policy from Aquote for my Varadero and the XR fully comp £120. £125 excess on Vara £175 excess on The XR. Carole nash are rediculous on prices they wanted over £400 for both my bikes. A friend of mine just bought an Xr250 and is paying Around £70 from H&R ( Hanson & Roberts) again a good firm for prices i used to be with them but they wouldn't give me a multibike policy

thats littel better at £150 but alot of money to play around in the mud at weekends glad i looked into it before getting the bike then getting the shock

Don't understand where the £150 has come from?

You don't need a new shock xr's are showa units as standard. Get K-TECH to do you a custon service £80+vat they are showa offroad specialist

cost you more than a 150 quid if you hit a tree (easily done when giving it some ****) and not being able to work.

I assume you've been quoted £150

CAll me stupid but how many green lanes are there in london?? all i've ever seen is West Minster, Pall Mall, the Strand, EMBANKMENT and St.Pauls and most of the other touristey places

my insurance with bennets started off at £160 fully comp, the next year it went up to £190, now this year it is £260,
so much for 3 years no claims.
