    Re: Baffle question

    Depends on the tester.
Mine stuffed a rag up the exhaust of my Husky to get it through, but I would class that as an exception to the rule.........
Generally speaking,it is down to the testers discretion,as to what is too loud

I would say there's not a hope in hell!

Mines never had baffles as such only the spark/flash arrester and i've never had problems with the MOT it certainly doesn't have a vortip thingy in the pipe for quietening the bike down

    Re: Baffle question

Yep depends on the tester, although my 250 I took out the baffles and left the spark arrester thing in, and it passed. Ive now got a JD Racing end can on and just got through an MOT with an advisory for a slightly noisy exhaust.
Get some baffle packing into the end can to quieten it down a tad for the MOT if you are unsure and then just take it out when the test is done.

Ive an XR400R baffle from a standard 04 plate exhaust if you want it, I wouldn't know how much to ask for it, is a tenner a good deal, they seem to be in demand for mot's.

XR's are NOT loud, c'mon, are we girls or XR owners, you can be real quiet when your dead!
